a star in the Octagon was over before it starte

While the chance to be a star in the Octagon was over before it started for an overwhelming majority of people, EA Sports and UFC have combined to at least give you a taste of what life could have been like in a three or five-round contest. Zaino Fjallraven Kanken Giallo . This past week marked the release of EA Sports UFC, the latest video game to capture what fighting is like in the world of mixed martial arts and more specifically the Ultimate Fighting Championship. The game follows the UFC Undisputed series of games that were produced by THQ and EA Sports MMA, a non-UFC mixed martial arts game released by Electronic Arts in 2010. Though, according to EA Sports UFC Creative Director Brian Hayes, this game is an entirely new product. “We designed, coded and created this game from scratch,” Hayes told TSN.ca Prior to the creation of the game and due to the schedule of the development, fighters were not consulted on their attributes which, as it has in other sports video games, could lead to disagreements down the road.  Hayes has his bases covered though when it comes to where he and his team got the final numbers for most of the competitors in the game. “I expect there to be lots of feedback from fighters on what their ratings are, but thankfully we got a lot of those numbers directly from UFC matchmakers Joe Silva and Sean Shelby.” One non-UFC name you will find in the game is martial arts and action star Bruce Lee who was added to the game as a bonus for those who purchased early or complete certain goals in the game. Hayes says the feedback to Lee being in the game has been positive. “Its been a fairly popular decision, a lot of people think its really cool.” UFC president Dana White told Fortune.com that video games are an important tool for introducing people to the sport. “You wouldnt believe how many fans have come up to me and said that how they got into the UFC was either through The Ultimate Fighter TV show or by playing the UFC video games. They get to learn who the fighters are. Its been very instrumental in educating.” UFC fighters have also been posting their early impressions and reactions to the game on twitter: Miesha Tate (@MieshaTate) So cool to be in a video game! Cant believe how realistic it is, crazy! Scott Jorgensen (@Scottjorgensen) SOOO pumped @EASPORTSUFC #FeelTheFight In Stores Now and Im taking challenges from you all. Travis Browne (@travisbrowneMMA) The game play is epic!! @EASPORTSUFC @ufc #FeelTheFight Fjallraven Kanken Saldi . The Philadelphia Eagles acquired running back Darren Sproles from the New Orleans Saints for a fifth-round draft pick on Tuesday. Zaino Fjallraven Kanken Rosa . Greg Maddux, Tom Glavine and Frank Thomas appeared to be on track to gain election from the Baseball Writers Association of America on Wednesday, and Craig Biggio could join them. The Winnipeg Goldeyes came out of an offensive funk in a big, big way Thursday night. Every Goldeyes player had a hit and the team scored seven runs in the second inning, as Winnipeg blasted the Sioux City Explorers 9-2 to take two of three games in the series and earn franchise win 100 over the Xs. The win pushes Winnipegs record to 20-18 on the season and moves the Goldeyes two games back of the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks for first place in the American Associations North Division. Winnipeg still has two games in hand on Fargo. The Goldeyes did all their scoring early Thursday night. Leonard Davis hit a two-run home run in the top of the first inning to begin the offensive onslaught for Winnipeg. The Goldeyes had gone five consecutive games without a home run. In the second inning for Winnipeg, Nate Samson had an RBI single, Mike Coles had a two RBI single, Jordan Guida scored on Nick Liles fielders choice, Davis doubled in Coles, and Luis Alen had a two-run single. Sioux City replied with two runs in the bottom of tthe second inning, but neither team touched home plate after that. Zaino Fjallraven Kanken Sconto. Alen paced Winnipeg with three knocks, while Leonard Davis and Amos Ramon each had a pair of hits. Davis led the team with three RBI. Winnipegs nine-run showing was the most by the team since an 11-3 win against the St. Paul Saints on June 17. In the seven-game since then, the Goldeyes averaged 2.9 runs per game. Goldeyes starter Pete Gehle earned the win after throwing seven solid innings. He struck out two, walked four and allowed just the two runs in the second inning for his second quality start of the season. Rookie relievers Kaohi Downing and Gabe Aguilar each pitched an inning of scoreless relief for the Fish. Sioux City starter Dan Jurik surrendered all nine of Winnipeg runs and suffered the loss. Winnipeg will travel overnight to Gary, Indiana, where the team will open a three-game weekend series with the RailCats Friday night. Game time is 7 p.m. The pre-game show with Paul Edmonds on TSN 1290 begins at 6:30 p.m. ' ' '
